Our Purple team is designed for 14U players looking for competitive tournament softball. With a target of 11-13 tournaments from September through the first week of June, our team is Little League and multi-sport friendly.
We work with Dani and Makenna Weir for hitting instruction and Robert Connor for pitching instruction (current KB 16U manager and pitching coach) and are committed to the tenets of the Positive Coaching Alliance.
Hitting Coach Dani (Weir) Tachell
Dani (Weir) Tachell has been coaching in the KB Organization since 2014. When she's not working with KB, she leads the softball program at Field of Champions in Preston, WA and works with hitters, catchers, and fielders. Dani graduated from Woodinville HS in 2006 with an undefeated season and state championship in 2005. Following high School, Dani played college softball at Div. 1 Boston College. Her career finished with one season of professional softball in Switzerland for the Therwil Flyers. This is where her passion for coaching became evident. Dani returned to the area and became the JV coach at Woodinville HS in 2011 and is now entering her 9th season as the Varsity Head Coach. In 2016, Dani was awarded the Washington State Coach of the Year and in 2017, led the Falcons to the 4A State Title and earned the National Fastpitch High School Coach of the Year. Dani lives in Carnation with her husband, Chad and their 3 children; Kaili, Keagan, and Kacey
