We are expecting to open tryouts in June for the 2026-2027 Season. Please check back for updates. If you would like to contact a coach outside of tryout season, please email information@kbfastpitch.org

About Tryouts

Players attending a scheduled tryout must complete and bring a signed Tryout Waiver.

Please arrive prepared with the following equipment:

• Cleats for outdoor tryouts or sneakers/turf shoes for indoor tryouts
• Glove
• Fielder’s face mask
• Batting helmet
• Bat

Catchers should bring their own gear if available.

Pitchers should plan to have a catcher at tryouts.

Pitchers and catchers should plan to remain after the initial evaluation period, as those positions are typically assessed at the conclusion of the tryout.

What to Expect at Tryouts

KB Fastpitch tryouts are designed to give coaches the opportunity to evaluate athletes in a variety of softball skills and game situations. Our goal is to create a positive and supportive environment where players can demonstrate their abilities and compete at their best.

During tryouts, athletes may be evaluated on:

• throwing and fielding fundamentals
• hitting and offensive skills
• defensive positioning and awareness
• base running
• athleticism and effort
• coachability and attitude

Pitchers and catchers will typically be evaluated separately at the end of the session to allow for more focused assessment.

Coaches consider multiple factors when evaluating athletes, including skill level, effort, teamwork, and overall fit within the team environment.

Our goal is to place athletes in a program where they can develop, compete, and grow as players and teammates.
